Coburg Endoscopy Centre is a day surgery facility specialising in Endoscopy and procedures of the Gastrointestinal tract.

Coburg Endoscopy Centre is owned and operated by an experienced Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist who is committed to excellence in care and providing expert Gastroenterology services  for the people of Melbourne in a timely manner.

The Coburg Endoscopy Centre development team worked closely with the healthcare architects, builders and the Department of Health and Human Services to ensure the facility meets current health care facility regulations whilst remaining a welcoming and friendly environment.

Coburg Endoscopy Centre is accredited by the Australian Council of Safety and Quality 10 National Healthcare Standards. This ensures we have an accountable management system and a strong governing body.

Coburg Endoscopy Centre is staffed by fully credentialed health care professionals who have relevant experience in day surgery and endoscopy. All our practitioners and nursing staff are registered with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulations Agency (AHPRA)

Coburg Endoscopy Centre is supported in its holistic care provisions by the services of Dr Gastroenterology consulting suites, which are co located on site. Services available at Dr Gastroenterology include General Surgeons, Dietitian, Psychologist, Pathology collection, Iron infusions, Breath testing and PH monitoring.

Doctor-Scope_dr_ian_fok

DR IAN KC FOK

Dr Ian KC Fok is a graduate of The University of Melbourne. He is a college recognized gastroenterologist and hepatologist and an expert in general gastroenterology and hepatology. Dr Fok has a keen interest in Inflammatory Bowel Disease and has multiple international publications.

In his limited spare time, Dr Fok enjoys playing with his two young children and looking after his fish tank.

DR ABED AZIZI

Dr. Azizi forms an integral part of our team, bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience. Abed obtained his medical degree from Jordan University of Science and Technology in 2004, continuing his education by completing his physician’s training at Royal Brisbane Hospital and The Prince Charles Hospital, obtaining his FRACP in 2011. He has completed his Gastroenterology and Hepatology training in Sydney Australia, with an Advanced Endoscopy fellowship from Bankstown Hospital, Sydney.

As an academic physician, Abed is published in the research literature and travels regularly to national and international conferences and workshops, some on invitation to lecture. He holds professional memberships with GESA, ASGE, RACP and AHPRA.

Abed is fluent in the Arabic and English languages, enjoys playing soccer, hiking and running in his spare time with an overall commitment and interest in health and fitness.

DR KENNETH HON

Dr Kenneth Hon MBBS FRACP is a highly experienced Gastroenterologist who completed his medical degree at the University of Adelaide in 2005. He completed his physicians training at the Flinders Medical Centre, Flinders Private Hospital and Repatriation General Hospitals in South Australia before gaining his FRACP in 2013.

Kenneth has completed his initial Gastroenterology training in South Australia before completing an Advanced Endoscopy Fellowship at Freemantle Hospital in Western Australia.

Kenneth is an academic physician and has many published research literature. He travels regularly to attend national and international conferences and workshops.
